University Activities Board celebrates 60 Years of Spring Arts and Crafts Show in May

The University Activities Board is hosting its historic 60th Spring Arts and Crafts Show May 18-19. Remaining one of the largest arts and crafts shows in Michigan, the event is held simultaneously as the 61st East Lansing Art Festival in the city’s downtown.

The Diamond Jubilee event takes place on the iconic MSU Union grounds (corner of Grand River Avenue and Abbot Road), just as generations of crafters and campus visitors have done before. Enjoy one-of-a-kind, handmade products from hundreds of local artists and small businesses. With a focus on high quality handmade arts and crafts, attendees can find the perfect gift for graduates, birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or any occasion.

This year’s show features over 300 crafters/artisans with new vendors as well as many returning favorites. Enjoy a broad range of items, from indoor/outdoor decor and furniture to candles and aromatherapy, jewelry, wellness products, clothing, toys, paintings and graphics, pottery, sculpture, photography and more!

In honor of the 60th anniversary, UAB has organized an entertainment lineup that includes fan-favorite Zeke the Wonderdog, magic shows, morning yoga and more.

All of the fees collected from the application process go to UAB for programming events for the MSU student body.
