For six Wednesdays this summer the Beaumont Tower bells will ring with the 27th Annual Muelder Summer Carillon Concert Series.
This free series welcomes the community to Beaumont Tower at 6 p.m. rain or shine, to listen to the expert carillonists performing on the bells. Guests are welcome to bring chairs, picnics, and blankets, and the media is welcome to attend.
The following artists will bring their talents to campus and perform at the tower;
- Julianne Vanden Wyngaard (July 3): Wyngaard is the retired carillonist of Grand Valley State University.
- Naoko Tsujita (July 10): Tsujita is the carillonist of Yorkminster Park Baptist Church in Toronto, Canada.
- Gijsbert Kok (July 17): Kok is a carillonist from The Hague, Netherlands.
- Deborah Hennig (July 24): Hennig is a carillonist from Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
- Kayla Gunderson (July 31): Gunderson is a carillonist from Chicago.
- Alan Bowman (August 7): Bowman is the carillonist of the Deeds Carillon at Carillon Historical Park, Dayton Ohio.
