Summer concerts begin at Beal Botanical Garden

The College of Music and Beal Botanical Garden are coming together once again for an outdoor concert series. 

Music and the Garden is a series of upcoming free events all summer, for all ages. There are four shows for this summer with family-friendly activities starting at 1 p.m. and the concerts start at 2 p.m.

MSU Strings and Voice is happening June 2. Violinist Alirna Korieva and soprano Phoenix Miranda will perform a variety of works reflecting nature, trees, focusing on the theme “Energize With Us.”

On June 23, members of the MSU Jazz Program will provide a concert full of renditions of Jazz favorites. The Spartan Jazz Quartet will explore sustainability with the theme: “Build With Us.”

Voice Duo: Grace Gits and Gabe Lockheimer will be performing on July 14. MSU vocalists Gits and Lockheimer will perform music that highlights a sense of community.

Quartet Fiume will explore themes of wellbeing on August 11. Quartet members include Nathan Salazar, Parker Fritz, Owen Kilpatrick and Michael Keeler.
