2024 Homecoming highlights

Homecoming 2024 was filled with several exciting and memorable moments, as students, staff, faculty and alumni celebrated along the banks of the Red Cedar, Oct. 14-19. The week was capped off by a football win at Spartan Stadium, when MSU beat Iowa, 32-20. Below, check out some highlights from the week.

  • Oct. 10: Homecoming court reception

  • Oct. 17: Meet the Grand Marshal

    The 2024 Grand Marshal, Sam Vincent, was interview by Al Martin, host of WKAR’s Beyond the Score, at WKAR Studios. At the event, attendees learned more about Vincent, including his time as a professional basketball player and coach, as well as his experience at MSU. Photo by Dane Robison.

  • Oct. 18: Homecoming parade

    The annual parade kicked off at 6 p.m. at the Hannah Community Center. From there, it traveled down Abbot and wound its way onto Grand River Avenue before ending on campus. Clubs and organizations put their creativity on display as they integrated the homecoming theme “Welcome Home, Spartans” into their floats and displays. Photo by Dane Robison.

  • Oct. 19: Homecoming game
