Michigan State University Undergraduate Research will host the 26th University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum, or UURAF, on Friday, April 12. Held in person at the Breslin Center from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an asynchronous online component from 11 a.m. to noon, this annual event provides MSU undergraduate students the opportunity to showcase their scholarship and creative activity.
Cosponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Education and the Honors College, the event highlights the impressive and impactful research portfolio of MSU’s undergraduate students and brings together an intellectual community of students to share their work.
From Michigan pothole analysis to cancer research topics, the 2024 slate of presentations represents a wide array of topics from students across many majors and disciplines. UURAF attendees can learn about rare isotopes, the impacts of climate change on our world’s rivers, the science of science curriculum and much more.
Monetary prizes are awarded to recognize exemplary presentations, with a first-place award given in each section. First-place award recipients are eligible to submit their work for two UURAF grand prizes. These winners are celebrated at the UURAF Awards Ceremony on April 17.
UURAF is free and open to the public, and will take place at the Breslin Student Events Center, located at 534 Birch Road on the MSU campus. Refreshments will be served.
