Members of the MSU Landscape Architecture program celebrated the program’s 125th anniversary, or “LAnniversary,” with a daylong program of events, including speakers, alumni panels, campus tours and, fittingly, a sketch crawl. Participants, led by alumni Bob Chipman and Danny Bulemore, drew with inspiration from campus sights both old and new. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.

Munn Field was the place to be on Friday, Oct. 6 as students set up a record-breaking 1,350 tents during the Izzone Campout. Members of the Izzone — the MSU men’s basketball team’s student section — camp out on the field each year to show their support for Coach Izzo and the Spartans, officially kicking off the season. Men’s basketball senior Mady Sissoko captures a snapshot with fans at the Izzone Campout. A team player both on and off the court, Sissoko recently took major strides to give back to his hometown by creating the Mady Sissoko Foundation. Using Sissoko’s licensing funds from basketball and donations from fellow Spartans, the foundation successfully built a new school in Tangafoya, Mali, giving hundreds of children improved access to education.
