Spartan Employee Spotlight – Research Technology Support Facility


Sharod Williams is a research assistant in the Genomics Core, one of eight Research Technology Support Facilities providing technical and analytical support for biomedical and agricultural research through the Office of Research and Innovation. Williams and the RTSF teams work with researchers at MSU as well as academic and research institutions throughout the world.

The Genomics Core maintains state-of-the-art technology, including the Illumina Novaseq sequencing instrument and the 10x Genomics Chromium. The team aims to keep pace with the ever-broadening world of genomic technology to make the research process as simple and accurate as possible.
