In 2021-22, the Office for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion and the selection team paused to review and align the Excellence in Diversity Awards program with Michigan State University's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee's Report and Plan.
Following careful review, the office is excited to announce that the awards have been revamped as the all-university Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards, or EDEIA.
The awards will recognize the exceptional and innovative contributions of students, staff and faculty in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the following areas:
- Teaching
- Research
- Programming
- Service
- Community outreach
- Organizational change
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022-23 year. Applications must be submitted by Aug. 31.
