A rose is a rose is a rose, but the MSU Horticulture Gardens boast some pretty extraordinary blooms. The gardens serve not only as a scenic spot on campus but as a teaching and research site, with 14 acres of garden beds testing hundreds of varieties of plants each year to see how they hold up to the Michigan climate.
