Virtual office hours for parents to be held April 22

Parents of current MSU students will have an opportunity to hear from university leaders regarding current operations to meet student needs. The virtual Parents Office Hour has been scheduled for 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 22.

Participants will be able to connect to the conversation via Teams on any device at https://go.msu.edu/parentofficehour. Anyone without a Teams account or app can join as a guest without downloading any software. More details about Teams can be found on the Microsoft support page

Leaders will share up-to-date information about a variety of topics, including remote education, grading, summer courses, housing and dining, plans for commencement, as well as answer questions from families.

Denise Maybank, vice president and associate provost of Student Affairs and Services, will facilitate the event and will be joined by others from across the university. Also joining the Parents Office Hour are Vennie Gore, vice president of Auxiliary Services; Mark Patishnock, director of Counseling & Psychiatric Services; Paulette Granberry Russell, senior advisor to the president and director of the Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives; Melissa Woo, senior vice president for Information Technology and others.

Parents may submit questions in advance. Questions should be submitted by 5 p.m., Monday, April 20, via email to Student Affairs and Services at stuaff@msu.edu. Additional questions may be asked during the Parents Office Hour should time allow. Submitted questions and additional information, including details on how to join the Parents Office Hour, will be made available on the Student Affairs and Services Parents Resource Center website.
