Nearly 100 Spartan student-athletes have completed work on their degrees this spring or are on track to do so this summer. Under normal circumstances, Michigan State University was scheduled to hold commencement exercises May 1-3. The university moved to online learning in mid-March due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Rebecca Campbell, professor of psychology and adviser to the president on relationship violence and sexual misconduct matters, was honored with a Distinguished Woman in Higher Education Leadership Award. The American Council of Education Michigan Woman's Network chose Campbell for her groundbreaking work outside her formal faculty responsibilities. Campbell has distinguisghed herself as a leader through her research efforts around sexual assault and violence and her work in improving prevention and response on MSU's campus.
