Crops flourish in the Bailey Greenhouse and Urban Farm, a passive solar greenhouse located in the Brody neighborhood of campus. Nestled in the residence hall neighborhood, the greenhouse grows certified organic herbs and greens that are sold to the Brody dining hall and Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. Student workers and volunteers that work in the greenhouse participate in duties which include harvesting, planting, weeding and most importantly, educating their fellow students and the local community about the significance of closing the food cycle loop on a university campus.
