Michigan State University’s College of Music announces the 2019-2020 music season “A Season of Celebrations” that will showcase milestones for some of the college’s most recognizable series and programs.
“We’re inviting everyone to celebrate with us and experience the wide array of music the college has to offer by joining us at one or more events during this spectacular season,” said James Forger, dean of the College of Music. “Music lovers, patrons and sponsors in our community have partnered with us through all these years to make our high quality musical productions both possible and meaningful.”
“A Season of Celebrations” runs September through April and will feature a variety of classical and jazz performances by excellent artists including faculty, students, acclaimed visiting musicians and cutting-edge new music groups.
The dedication and ribbon cutting of the Billman Music Pavilion and 35,000-square foot addition on April 17 will further energize the season, symbolizing new directions and opportunity for the college and community.
In addition to the series events, audiences can enjoy numerous general admission recitals and performances by MSU orchestras, bands, jazz and choral ensembles and the Artist-faculty Recital Series sponsored by WKAR. College of Music events take place at Fairchild Theatre, the Cobb Great Hall in Wharton Center, Cook Recital Hall and Demonstration Hall.
Tickets to this full season of events are for sale and available to the public.
