Junior forward Nick Ward scored 22 points and had nine rebounds, while senior guard Matt McQuaid added a season-high 18 points and a career-high seven assists as No. 9 MSU beat Minnesota, 79-55, at the Breslin Center on Saturday afternoon.
Junior guard Cassius Winston added 11 points and nine assists for the Spartans, who connected on 51.7 percent of their shots from the floor.
