MSU hosts 3rd annual Veterans Welcome Picnic

Four Michigan State University organizations devoted to veteran services are hosting the third annual Veterans Welcome Picnic on Sept. 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Student Services Building courtyard.

All MSU students, faculty and staff who have served or are serving in active or reserve components of the U.S. Military, and their families, are invited to enjoy food, prizes and conversation.

“The best part of the Welcome Picnic is being able to unite all of the military-connected communities at MSU to show them that they are not alone,” said Jaimie Hutchison, a member of the MSU Veteran Outreach Team. “Veterans are a population that are invisible unless you ask them or know them, so this is a way for people to connect and realize that we have a community of supportive people on campus.”

The picnic is being hosted by the Michigan State University Student Veterans Resource Center, Student Veterans of America, Peer Advisors for Veterans Education and Veteran Outreach Team.

Guests can register here until Sept. 12.
