Associate provost, vice president named to labor group’s board

Theodore H. (Terry) Curry, associate provost and associate vice president for Academic Human Resources at MSU, was recently named to the Board of Advisors for the National Center for the Study of Collective Bargaining in Higher Education and the Professions, a labor-management group dedicated to studying the use of collective bargaining as an important means for advancing higher education and the working conditions of faculty and staff in colleges and universities.

At MSU, Curry’s office is responsible for ensuring the university is able to attract and retain an internationally competitive faculty and academic staff so the university can accomplish its mission of advancing knowledge and transforming lives. Academic Human Resources also works alongside MSU Human Resources on issues that are cross-cutting for faculty, academic staff and university support staff, such as issues dealing with records, employee benefits, etc.
