MSU to honor faculty and students with Excellence in Diversity Awards

MSU faculty, staff and students who have demonstrated their efforts toward a more diverse and inclusive community were honored at the 2017 All-University Excellence in Diversity Recognition and Awards Program Feb. 13.

The 2017 Excellence in Diversity award recipients include:

 Students Making a Difference Through Artistic Expression Award 

  • Gonzalo Garrido-Lecca, doctoral student, music composition, College of Music
  • Sarah Palermo, masters student, music composition, College of Music
  • Michael K. Wilson, doctoral student, African American and African studies, College of Arts and Letters


Honorable Mention

  • Tutilo Mudumba, doctoral student, Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Visual)
  • Mary Peacock, masters student, studio art, College of Arts and Letters (Visual)
