College of Music presents the annual Muelder Summer Carillon Series

The MSU College of Music will present the 21st annual Muelder Summer Carillon Series at 6 p.m. on five consecutive Wednesdays from June 28 through Aug. 2 at Beaumont Tower.

Carillonneurs play the instrument, which consists of bells arranged chromatically, a keyboard and foot pedals and an array of cables that connect the keys and pedals to the bells. Once the keys and pedals are depressed, the cables strike the bells, creating the melodic sound that resonates from within the tower.

After each recital, the tower will be open for tours and a demonstration of the carillon. Audience members are encouraged to bring picnics and blankets to the concerts.

These concerts are free and will occur rain or shine.
