Nine students recognized with 2016 Board of Trustees Awards

At the Dec. 16 Board of Trustees meeting, nine graduating students were recognized with Board of Trustees Awards for having the highest scholastic average at the close of his or her last semester in attendance at Michigan State University.

All students received a 4.0 GPA.

The students will also be recognized at their fall commencements Dec. 17.

Following is the list of awardees.

Rachael Acker, of Midland. Acker is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. She is a graduate of Midland High School.

Andrew Allmon, of Grand Rapids. A member of the Honors College, Allmon is a music education major in the College of Music. He is a graduate of Chesterton High School, Chesterton, Indiana.

Melissa Bucheli, of Troy. A member of the Honors College, Bucheli is a physiology major in Lyman Briggs College. She is a graduate of Troy High School.

Miranda Bunker, of Sault Sainte Marie. A member of the Honors College, Bunker is a nursing major in the College of Nursing. She is a graduate of Sault Area High School.

Erin Hand, of Farmington Hills. A member of the Honors College, Hand is a food science major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resource. She is a graduate of Mercy High School, Farmington Hills.

Michael Morrow, of Troy. A member of the Honors College, Morrow is an accounting major in the Eli Broad College of Business. He is a graduate of Bishop Foley Catholic High School, Madison Heights.

Elise Pearl, of Rochester. Pearl is a psychology major in the College of Social Science. She is a graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School, Pontiac.

Rachel Rolinski, of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. A member of the Honors College, Rolinski is a neuroscience major in the College of Natural Science. She is a graduate of Glenbard West High School, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

Adam Schoonmaker, of Haslett. A member of the Honors College, Schoonmaker is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. He is a graduate of Haslett High School.
