About 15,000 Arrowmen from across the nation will come together Aug. 3-8 on Michigan State University's campus for the National Order of the Arrow Conference.
This year marks the organization's 100th anniversary.
NOAC is the premier event of the Order of the Arrow. It is Scouting's second-largest national program event. This is a youth-led conference, and young men ages 14-21 will make up two-thirds of the conference attendees.
During the conference, many campus buildings and resources will be used for housing, training events and activities. (Note: Events are for credentialed participants only). Due to high volume in the dining halls during this time, it is suggested that those who wish to dine on campus seek alternate options available at the MSU Union, Owen Hall, the International Center and the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center's State Room.
MSU Police reminds faculty, staff, students and visitors that campus traffic will be increased during the this week, with an extreme level of congestion on Aug. 3. The area surrounding Cherry Lane Park should be avoided, if possible, the entire week.
This is the third time MSU has hosted NOAC. Previous years were 2006 and 2012.
