Peter Glendinning, professor of photography in the Department of Art, Art History, and Design, has been honored as one of 24 American Society of Media Photographers “Best of 2015.”
Founded in 1944, ASMP has more than 7,000 members and 39 chapters. Its members are among the most widely recognized photography professionals in all aspects of the medium.
“ASMP membership has given me so many insights into the ways and means of the profession, opportunities to work with creative art directors and others and interactions through a network of professional colleagues,” Glendinning said. “It literally changed the trajectory of my career as a photographer.”
Glendinning said that the ASMP “Best of 2015” honor is the most meaningful of all of his honors in terms of professional recognition in the medium of photography.
