Registration open for Community Music School summer camps

From theater to rock to music therapy, the Michigan State University Community Music School offers summer camps that appeal to a range of interests. Youth can select from six different camps. All are now open for registration.

The camps include High School Band and Chamber Music Camp, Eric ‘RicStar’ Winter Music Therapy Camp, Rock Camp, Middle School Band Camp, Musical Theatre Camp, and Beginning Strings Camp.

“These camp opportunities provide participants with a wonderful opportunity to learn more in their specific area of music study,” said Katie Pletka, MSU Community Music School camps coordinator. “Each of the camps is designed to provide students with a fun, rewarding and educational experience.”

All camps are held at the MSU Community Music School or on the MSU campus. Lodging and financial aid are available for some camps. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

To register, volunteer, or support camp scholarships, call the Community Music School at (517) 355-7661. More information can also be found at www.cms.msu.edu
