The MSU College of Music will recognize the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with a performance titled “Happy Birthday Mozart” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at Fairchild Theatre.
The performance will incorporate excerpts from well-known operas such as Cosi fan tutte, Figaro and Don Giovanni. Marcie Ray, the concert guide, will offer a closer look at the history surrounding Mozart and his music.
The audience will be invited to join the performers for birth cake after the show. The concert is sponsored by Selma and Stanley Hollander.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors age 60 and older and $5 for students with an ID or anyone under age 18. They can be purchased at the door, online, by calling 517-353-5340 or in person in room 102 of the MSU Music Building.
