MSU Board of Trustees to meet Friday

The Michigan State University Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Board Room of the Hannah Administration Building.

Following are several items the board will consider.

  • Approval to purchase a property in Lansing. The 129,000-square-foot facility, located at 3815 Technology Blvd., will be used for research and economic development purposes.
  • Authorization to proceed with infrastructure improvements at the West Circle Housing Complex. Improvements will include a new water main, communication lines and electric ducts.
  • Authorization to proceed with renovations to the Kresge Courtyard, work that will include a new, permanent stage for MSU Summer Circle Theatre, terraced seating and landscape improvements.
  • Authorization of a contract award for the construction of a regulation-sized, artificial turf football field for use by the Spartan Marching Band. The field may also be used for intramural sports, classes and summer sports camps.

Other agenda items include reports from the president and board chairman; the gifts, grants and contracts report; and personnel actions.
