It's time to 'Rock, Walk-n-Roll;' MSU Moves U Mile set for Oct. 15

Beginning at the Rock on Farm Lane, the second annual Rock, Walk-n-Roll event presented by MSU Moves U will take place on Oct. 15. Start time is 12:15 p.m.

The one-mile walk will begin with remarks by Provost June Youatt, Vice President Denise Maybank and University Physician David Weismantel. Sparty will also be there to cheer participating Spartans on.

The walk, along with other MSU Moves U events, encourages faculty, staff and students to gather purely for the chance to have fun and enjoy movement. Participants will follow a well-marked, one-mile route along the scenic Red Cedar River and complete the course back at the Rock.

A goodie bag will be provided to those participating and MSU Culinary Services will add to the excitement by debuting its new food truck. They'll feature specials such as a spring roll entrée and world market salad.

Rock, Walk-n-Roll kicks off this year’s MSU Moves U schedule.

Check their Facebook page for future opportunities and be sure to keep an eye...an ear...or a limb out for the Zombie Walk on Oct. 30.
