Annual symposium recognizes art seniors

The Annual Art History and Visual Culture Undergraduate Symposium “Pandora's Box: Discussions in the History of Art” recognizes the scholarly achievement of senior undergraduate students studying art history and visual culture in the Department of Art, Art History and Design.

The 2014 symposium is the culmination of the capstone experience course, HA 499 Senior Research and Professional Development. In addition to the development of skills related to career planning, such as developing resumes, job interviews and graduate school applications, the students gain experience presenting scholarly papers.

The papers are based on students’ independent research projects on a subject of their choice, leading to the production of a substantive original paper under the guidance of an art history faculty member.

Please visit the Department of Art, Art History and Design website for more information about student presentation projects.
