Spartans at ArtPrize

There are a number of Spartan artists represented at this year’s ArtPrize. To celebrate these artists, MSU is hosting a day of family-friendly art activities as well as bringing a touch – and taste – of green and white to Grand Rapids.

The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 on the west side of Monroe Ave. NW, across from the intersection of Trowbridge St. NW in Grand Rapids. Visitors are encouraged to register for the event.

A variety of items and activities will be available on site including a visit from Sparty (noon to 2 p.m.), the MSU Food for Thought food truck, Spartan artists, Homecoming super hero items for purchase, MSU Dairy Store ice cream for the first 500 people, maps highlighting Spartan artist locations and more.

The event is sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association and MSU Alumni Club of West Michigan, College of Arts and Letters, University Scholarships and Fellowships, College of Human Medicine and Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum.
