In conjunction with the MSU Product Center, Westborn Market will host and judge a product placement competition known as The Next SKU Could Be You.
The competition will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Making it in Michigan Trade Show. The trade show is held at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing.
The more than 150 competitors include both new businesses and established food companies looking to launch a new food product. Westborn Market offers a year’s worth of free shelf space to winners.
Products will be judged on the attractiveness of packaging, convenience for consumers and their ability to attract both consumers and grocers.
Admission to the trade show is free to the general public who can taste and purchase items.
