The annual Get Girls Going free clinic takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 6 at IM Sports West.
It serves to introduce and encourage girls in third to eighth grade to learn sports skills in basketball, soccer, volleyball, self-defense and rugby.
Morning activities will conclude when girls can meet student athletes, receive door prizes and have their questions answered. Tips for a successful day include participants bringing her own bottle of water, wearing athletic shoes and eating a healthy breakfast before coming.
Schedule:
8:30 – 9 a.m.: Check-in at lM Sports West
9 - 9:30 a.m.: Warm-up / Team Building Exercises
9:35 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Circuit Sports Skills
12:30 – 1 p.m.: Closing Session with MSU Athletes
1 - 2:30 p.m.: Optional Open Swim for Girls (parents must supervise)
Pre-Registration is required as space is limited.
A risk and release of liability form must be signed by a parent at or before the event.
