The Michigan State University Student Food Bank has served thousands of needy families since 1993.
Last year alone, the Student Food Bank served more than 4,000 people and more than 5,000 people donated to the cause.
According to the Student Food Bank, a $25 donation buys approximately 44 pounds of food, a $50 donation buys approximately 88 pounds of food and a $100 donation buys approximately 175 pounds of food.
The remaining distribution dates are Jan. 9 and 23, Feb. 6 and 20, March 13 and 27 and April 10 and 24.
