MSU's Robert Shelton can discuss death of Ray Bradbury

Michigan State University's Robert Shelton is currently teaching a class in science fiction, a class that covers, among other things, the works of Ray Bradbury.

Bradbury, who died Tuesday, is considered one of the great American writers, known for such classics as Fahrenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles.

"Ray Bradbury wrote with his ears (and his generous heart), and let us listen to his musical words as if we were children hearing a ghost story for the first time," said Shelton, an associate professor in MSU's Lyman Briggs College.

Shelton, who had the good fortune to know Bradbury early in his career, can discuss the life and times of Bradbury.

Shelton can be reached at (517) 353-3909 or shelton@msu.edu.
