ESPN College GameDay coming to MSU for battle with Buckeyes

EAST LANSING, Mich. — ESPN College GameDay will visit East Lansing for the second year in a row when Michigan State University takes on Ohio State University on Sept. 29. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.

ESPN College GameDay — featuring Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Samantha Steele — airs Saturday from 9-10 a.m. on ESPNU and from 10 a.m.-noon on ESPN. The remote set will be located north of Beaumont Tower.

Saturday's visit marks GameDay's sixth appearance on the MSU campus; the last visit was MSU’s thrilling 37-31 victory over Wisconsin in October 2011.

Fans wishing to attend GameDay may pay $15 to park in the Grand River Avenue ramp (Ramp 6), which opens at 6:30 a.m. Those fans should note tailgating cannot begin prior to 9 a.m., when all other campus lots open for game-related parking.

Gates to the GameDay compound open at 7 a.m. Saturday. Only blankets and approved signs will be permitted; no bags, chairs or other items will be allowed.

Set-up for Saturday’s program began Wednesday, as ESPN personnel began preparing the stage and demonstration field areas near Beaumont Tower.
