College of Arts and Letters celebrates Don Juan

The Michigan State University College of Arts and Letters will team up with departments across campus to celebrate literary legend Don Juan Nov. 1-2.

The celebration kicks off at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the MSU RCAH Auditorium in Snyder Hall. Mexican American Playwright Carlos Morton will highlight Don Juan's legacy. A reception will follow. The event ends at 9 p.m.

On Nov. 2 the following events are scheduled:

  • From noon to 1 p.m.: A roundtable discussion of Chicano and Latino theater with Carlos Morton will take place in Wells Hall. Lunch will be provided.
  • From 2 to 5:30 p.m.: Academic Symposium: The Don Juan Traditions will be held in the MSU Union. Guest speakers are expected to present with a reception following.

All of the Don Juan Week events are free and open to the public.
