The Young Women, Strong Leaders Conference is a statewide leadership conference for college students. A Michigan State University delegation of up to 50 women students have the opportunity to attend the conference March 25 at Western Michigan University. Nominations of student leaders and potential student leaders is encouraged.
The conference provides skill development and professional mentoring opportunities to prepare college-aged women for success in their professional lives. In the one-day conference, students will meet women leaders -- students, academic, corporate, and political -- from across the state, building a network that will enable them to successfully work to improve the status of Michigan women and their own leadership abilities.
The registration fee for the conference is $25 per person. Deadline for registration is March 18. Space is limited.
Departments may cover that cost for students or ask students to pay for all or part of the registration fee. Transportation has been arranged via charter bus and is being sponsored by the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services and the Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives.
Please download a registration form for more information. To register a student, or group of students, a credit card number must be entered to select the number of “seats” to be purchased and then submit payment.
A password will be sent that will allow each student(s) to complete her registration for the conference. Detailed instructions are provided on the website.
