MSU Cable Television offers 26 new channels in the campus lineup

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State University Cable Television added 26 new channels to the campus cable lineup this month. The new channels are available to all subscribers of Entertainment Television (ETV), which is the tier of cable accessible to on-campus residents.

The added channels help round out previous offerings and provide new programming in areas that were not available before.

“The channels were selected based on input from various groups on campus, including student groups,” said Nicholas Kwiatkowski of the Physical Plant Division’s Telecommunication Systems Department.

In addition to commercial, educational and entertainment programming, MSU Cable Television is offering additional local programming from LCC-TV, FOX47 and The Country Network.

Viewers can access the new channel listing on the MSU Cable Television website at http://www.cabletv.msu.edu/cabletv/index.cfm/current-cable-lineup/. They can also access an electronic programming guide on channel 14 of the package.

The MSU Cable Television network serves department buildings, residence halls and university apartments owned and operated by Michigan State University. The network features three levels of service: Instructional Television (ITV), Entertainment Television (ETV), and a pay-for digital tier.
