Morning bird walks offered monthly at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary

Join the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary for Birds and Coffee, an early morning stroll on the Sanctuary property to enjoy the sights and sounds of the birds. This adult program is offered on the second Wednesday of each month from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Following the walks, warm up with mug of Birds and Beans© coffee. Birds and Beans© is Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center certified coffee, meaning it's "bird friendly." Rather than being grown on cleared lands, this shade-grown coffee provides and protects habitat for many migratory birds such as warblers, vireos and orioles. Birds and Beans© coffee is also USDA certified organic.

Birders of all skill levels are welcome. Binoculars can be brought or borrowed. Upcoming Birds and Coffee program are  Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 14, April 11, May 9 and June 13.

Sanctuary members may attend the walks for free. Cost for non-members is Sanctuary general admission: $4 for adults and $3 for senior citizens.

The Sanctuary is open to visitors year round. For more information, contact the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary at (269) 671-2510 or email birdsanctuary@kbs.msu.edu. Additional information on KBS special events can be found at www.kbs.msu.edu.
