Sollenberger named acting director of MSU Dubai

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Long-time Michigan State University faculty member Harold Sollenberger, who spent part of the fall 2009 semester teaching at MSU Dubai, will return this summer as interim executive director.

Sollenberger is professor emeritus of accounting and information systems, and also served as associate dean for MBA programs in the Eli Broad College of Business and as chairperson of the accounting, finance and insurance faculties.

Sollenberger will temporarily succeed Brendan Mullan, who is returning to East Lansing to resume his research and teaching responsibilities after serving more than two years as founding executive director of MSU Dubai.

An international search for a permanent executive director is underway.

Sollenberger’s appointment is effective June 1.
