EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Division of Residential and Hospitality Services at Michigan State University recently announced MSU's Wharton Center for Performing Arts will manage programming, marketing and ticketing for all live entertainment events held at Jack Breslin Student Events Center.
Wharton Center currently manages four other campus venues: Cobb Great Hall, Pasant Theatre, MSU Concert Auditorium and Fairchild Theatre.
In the new model, RHS staff will continue to coordinate facility operations, as well as servicing conference and meeting planners. Spartan Athletics will continue coordinating men's and women's basketball.
"The decision to restructure facility management means promoters now have one central contact for booking, ticketing and event servicing in five distinct campus venues," said Mike Brand, Wharton Center's executive director. "Throughout the next few months, we plan to announce several new events to be held at Breslin Center."
