WKAR Radio, WKAR WORLD, and WKAR.org will offer live coverage of the 2009 presidential inauguration activities on Jan. 20 including:
● National Public Radio's (NPR's) Morning Edition on 90.5 WKAR and WKAR/AM 870, at 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. , respectively. Coverage will include reports from various NPR journalists talking with people not only attending the Washington, D.C. event but also throughout the United States and around the world.
● WKAR/AM 870 will carry NPR's live coverage from the viewing stands on the Capitol grounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including an uninterrupted broadcast of the Inaugural Ceremonies as Joe Biden and Barack Obama are sworn into office, followed by the Inaugural Address.
● Live coverage of the day's events will also be aired on WKAR World from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The PBS broadcast will be anchored by Jim Lehrer with commentary provided by a panel of analysts and historians.
● NPR's All Things Considered, with Robert Siegel and Melissa Block, will air at 4 p.m. on 90.5 WKAR and WKAR/AM 870 with a wrap up of the day's activities and an analysis of the Inaugural Address.
● 90.5 WKAR and WKAR/AM 870 broadcasts are streamed live on WKAR.org.
