Michigan State has been picked to finish third in the 2009 Big Ten football race, behind Ohio State and Penn State, according to the conference's preseason media poll released July 27. In addition, the media panel has selected Michigan State junior linebacker Greg Jones as the Big Ten Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
