EAST LANSING, Mich. — Fifteen Michigan State University students were honored April 24 for their academic achievements by the MSU Board of Trustees.
Board of Trustees Scholarship Awards are granted at each commencement to graduating seniors having the highest cumulative grade point averages at the close of the semester prior to graduation. All of this year’s recipients have a 4.0 GPA. They are:
- Stephanie Barth, of Novi, an advertising major in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences. She is the daughter of Sue Barth, of Novi, and Steve Barth, of Northville. Barth is a graduate of Novi High School.
- Chelsea Duggan, of Harrison, a nutritional sciences major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Michael and Krystal Duggan, she graduated from Harrison Community High School.
- Aylysh Gallagher, of Warren, an economics major in the College of Social Science. She is the daughter of Brian and Susan Gallagher. An Honors College member, she is a graduate of Warren Woods Tower High School.
- Amanda Harris, of Wildwood, Mo., a biology major in Lyman Briggs College and a Spanish major in the College of Arts and Letters. The daughter of Peter and Nina Harris, she is a member of the Honors College and graduated from Lafayette High School, Ballwin, Mo.
- Jennifer Hurst, of Rochester Hills, a finance major in the Eli Broad College of Business. She is the daughter of David and Donna Hurst. A member of the Honors College, Hurst is a graduate of Rochester Adams High School.
- Meghan Jacokes, of Williamston, an anthropology major in the College of Social Science. The daughter of Bradley and Julie Jacokes, she is a member of the Honors College and graduated from Williamston High School.
- Sameer Khatri, of St. Joseph, a human biology major in the College of Natural Science. He is the son of Shams and Farida Khatri and a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
- Alicia Kramer, of Oxford, a physiology major in Lyman Briggs College. She is the daughter of James and Denise Kramer. A member of the Honors College, Kramer is a graduate of Oxford High School.
- Ruth Kuo, of Rochester Hills, a nutritional sciences major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Min and Leichuan Kuo, she is a member of the Honors College and graduated from Rochester High School.
- Amanda Leach, of Davisburg, a nutritional sciences major in Lyman Briggs College. She is the daughter of Randy and Lynne Leach. A member of the Honors College, she is a graduate of Clarkston High School.
- Meagan Mackey, of Marshall, a physiology major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Eban and Rose Mackey, she is a graduate of Marshall High School.
- Blair Morley, of Elkhart, Ind., a nursing major in the College of Nursing. She is the daughter of Chandler and Dianne Morley. Morley is a member of the Honors College and graduated from Concord High School, Elkhart, Ind.
- Christine Sheffler, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., a communicative sciences and disorders major in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences. The daughter of Robin and Richard Sheffler, she is a member of the Honors College and is a graduate of Allen D. Nease High School, St. Augustine, Fla.
- Craig Smith, of Hemlock, a physiology major in the College of Natural Science. He is the son of Joe and Mary Smith. An Honors College member, Smith graduated from Hemlock High School.
- Erin Sutton, of Madison Heights, an elementary education major in the College of Education and a Spanish major in the College of Arts and Letters. The daughter of Daniel and Brenda Sutton, she is a member of the Honors College and a graduate of Lamphere High School.
