EAST LANSING, Mich. - Former Michigan State guard Shannon Brown has earned an NBA championship ring with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic June 14, winning the NBA Finals.
Throughout the playoffs, Brown was a regular contributor off the Laker bench, averaging 4.9 points and 13.1 minutes in 21 playoff games, shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 48.0 percent from 3-point range. He also averaged 1.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.5 steals. He appeared in every game through the first three rounds of the playoffs, and three contests in the NBA Finals.
