The preseason No. 6 MSU men's basketball team will take on the preseason favorite, University of North Carolina Tarheels, during the 10th annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Tip-off is 9:15 p.m., Dec. 3.
This will be MSU’s second game at Ford Field, which is home to the Detroit Lions. Previously, the Spartans played Kentucky at “The BasketBowl” on Dec. 13, 2003, in front of a world-record crowd of 78,129.
This is the only college basketball game scheduled for Ford Field this season prior to the 2009 Final Four on April 4 and 6.
