EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State University’s Board of Trustees recognized 23 students for academic achievements at its April 13 meeting.
The 23 students all achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
The Board of Trustees Awards are granted at each commencement to students having the highest GPA at the close of their last semester in attendance.
Recipients of the awards are:
- Alyssa M. Aubry, of Brighton, a nutritional sciences major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Steven and Janise Aubry, she is a 2003 graduate of Brighton High School.
- Daniel J. Baker, of St. Paul, Minn., an electrical engineering major in the College of Engineering. The son of Jim and Jean Baker, he is a 2003 graduate of Woodbury High School. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Elizabeth A. Bartlett, of Troy, a microbiology major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Don and Anne Bartlett, she is a 2003 graduate of Troy High School. She is a member of the Honors College.
- Waleed Brinjikji, of West Bloomfield, a Lyman Briggs School of Science physiology major in the College of Natural Science. The son of Abdul and Hiam Brinjikji, he is a 2003 graduate of Andover High School. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Steven D. Brooks, of Ovid, a Lyman Briggs School of Science human biology major in the College of Natural Science. The son of Mark and Debbie Brooks, he is a 2003 graduate of Ovid-Elsie High School. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Meghan L. Callahan, of Milford, an education major in the College of Education. The daughter of Jeffrey and Karan Callahan, she is a 2003 graduate of Milford High School. She is a member of the Honors College.
- Melissa R. Carrier, of Jenison, a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. The daughter of William and Denise Carrier, she is a 2003 graduate of Jenison High School. She is a member of the Honors College.
- Elizabeth E. Dugan, of Plainsboro, N.J., a Lyman Briggs School of Science physiology major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Terry and Carol Dugan, she is a 2003 graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North. She is a member of the Honors College.
- Amanda B. Gorman, of Livonia, a Spanish major in the College of Arts and Letters. The daughter of Bruce and Judy Gorman, she is a 2003 graduate of Adlai E. Stevenson High School.
- Christine E. Gunkel, of Sterling Heights, an interdisciplinary studies in social science/international studies major in the College of Social Science. The daughter of Charles and Bonnie Gunkel, she is a 2003 graduate of Sterling Heights High School.
- Joseph A. Jonaitis, of Grand Rapids, a physiology major in the College of Natural Science. The son of Stan and Kim Jonaitis, he is a 2003 graduate of West Catholic High School.
- Andrew S. Kreling, of Otsego, a computer science major in the College of Engineering. The son of Jack and Sue Kreling, he is a 2002 graduate of Otsego High School. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Abbey H. Miller, of Davison, an interior design major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The daughter of Jerry and Annie Miller, she is a 2003 graduate of Davison High School.
- Kristina L. Neddermeyer, of Shelby Township, a special education/learning disabilities major in the College of Education. The daughter of John and Pat Neddermeyer, she is a 2003 graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower High School. She is a member of the Honors College.
- Matthew J. Nelson, of Williamston, a mathematics major in the College of Natural Science. The son of Jack and Nancy Nelson, he is a 2003 graduate of Okemos High School. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Tracy L. Petzke, of St. Joseph, an animal science major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The daughter of Wayne and Bonnie Petzke, she is a 2003 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She is a member of the Honors College.
- Justin R. Pilot, of Berrien Springs, a physics major in the College of Natural Science. The son of Robert and Susan Pilot, he is a 2003 graduate of Berrien Springs High School. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Richard A. Pollock, of Lake Orion, a Lyman Briggs School of Science physiology major in the College of Natural Science. The son of John and Myong Pollock, he is a 2003 graduate of the International Academy in Bloomfield Hills. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Jaime L. Radford, of Westland, an education major in the College of Education. The daughter of James and Vicki Radford, she is a 2003 graduate of Franklin High School in Livonia.
- Lindsey A. Reh, of Okemos, a nutritional sciences major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Stephen and Margery Reh, she is a 2003 graduate of Williamston High School. She is a member of the Honors College.
- Adam R. Southworth, of Novi, a materials science and engineering major in the College of Engineering. The son of Thomas and Deborah Southworth, he is a 2003 graduate of Novi High School. He is a member of the Honors College.
- Myles M. Talbot, of Grosse Pointe, an accounting major in The Eli Broad College of Business. The son of Robert Talbot and Michelle Hages, he is a 2003 graduate of Grosse Pointe South High School.
- Adrienne M. Wisda, of Howell, a human biology major in the College of Natural Science. The daughter of Thomas and Colleen Wisda, she is a 2003 graduate of Howell High School. She is a member of the Honors College.
