MSU announces 2006 Homecoming Court

EAST LANSING, Mich. Michigan State University has named seven seniors to its 2006 Homecoming Court.

Individuals and organizations nominated seniors for the Homecoming Court. After personal interviews, the seven seniors selected for this year's court were chosen based on their ability to represent MSU with their “Spartan spirit,” academic standards and leadership skills.

Members of the court are:

  • Cheryl Ann Brodowski of Shelby Township, daughter of Ken and Marti Brodowski, majoring in communications with a specialization in business. Brodowski is a member of the MSU Student Alumni Foundation and MSU Bikes.
  • Scott Emerson Crosby of Troy, son of Jim and Kathy Crosby, majoring in accounting. Crosby is a member of Campus Crusade for Christ and Christian Business Leaders.
  • Joseph Anthony Jonaitis of Grand Rapids, son of Stan and Kim Jonaitis, majoring in physiology. He is involved with student retreat activities.
  • Rebecca Lewis of Dexter, daughter of Mike Lewis and Terri Voepel-Lewis, majoring in international relations. She participates in mentoring and volunteer activities.
  • James Adam Pita of Rock Springs, Wyo., son of Eugene and Diane Pita, majoring in computer science. He is involved with community outreach activities.
  • Megan Wolocko of Livonia, daughter of Matthew and Mary Beth Wolocko, majoring in finance with an international business specialization. She is a member of student government and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
  • Sarah Kelly Wright of Bay City, daughter of William and Carol Wright, majoring in international studies and geography. Wright is involved with environmental and fair trade activities.

Court members represent MSU students during Homecoming activities Sept. 20-Oct. 1, including the parade, the MSU Alumni Association Green and White Tailgate Brunch and the football game against the University of Illinois.
