Undergraduate researchers from across Michigan will present their work at the second annual Michigan Undergraduate Research Forum (MURF), Wednesday, March 23, at the State Capitol.

The event will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Capitol rotunda. MSU President Lou Anna Kimsey Simon will give the opening speech.

More than 50 students from Michigan State University, Wayne State University, and the University of Michigan-Flint and Dearborn, will showcase posters presenting their work.

Research topics include public health, sociology, economic development, science and technology, and education, and showcase the importance of undergraduate research to the university institution and to education.

Ten MSU students will participate and are current and former participants in the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program/Summer Research Opportunity Program (McNair/SROP), which created research partnerships between juniors and seniors and faculty researchers throughout campus.
