EAST LANSING, Mich. - More than 1,750 parents and siblings will attend MSU's Family Weekend festivities on campus Oct. 28-29, an all-time record.
"This is the largest number that has ever signed up to attend Family Weekend," says Beverly Vandenberg, SAF program coordinator.
The event is sponsored by the Student Alumni Foundation (SAF), a student organization sponsored by MSU Alumni Association and University Development.
Weekend events include a pregame pep rally/tailgate on the track field next to Spartan Stadium, the MSU-Illinois football game and a jazz concert by Sonny Wilkinson. On Sunday, the SAF will conduct special tours of MSU facilities at Breslin Center, Munn Ice Arena, Spartan Stadium/Duffy Daugherty Football Building, Beaumont Tower, the MSU Union and the School of Packaging.
