Marielle Smith: Tracking the Amazon forest with LiDAR

Marielle Smith is a research associate in the Department of Forestry in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Smith recently published a paper in New Phytologist on how climate change is causing the Amazon rain forest to deal with an increasing number of droughts.
