Courtenay Barrett is an assistant professor in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education in the College of Education. Barrett's work seeks to promote large-scale change in schools by examining the factors influencing school psychology practice and the implementation of evidence-based programs.
I’m a scientist practitioner that promotes system change through collaboration. My research agenda promotes large scale change by examining the influences that affect the provision of school psychology service delivery and the implementation of evidence-based practices. Recently, I’ve been examining the cost and efficiency of evidence-based programs and practices in schools. I’ve also been looking at how data are used to identify students with specific learning disabilities and help improve their outcomes.
