Camp Kesem at MSU was founded in 2006 and supports children whose parents have been affected by cancer by providing a weeklong summer camp experience and yearlong peer support. It is operated by 50 student volunteers and serves 130 campers ages 6-16 per year. Gifts from Spartan donors help MSU College of Education students participate as volunteers. Kesem is a nationwide community driven by passionate college student leaders and is the only national organization dedicated to this unique population.
